1. Mewat Balika Shiksha Karay Kram (Girl Education Programme)
Supported by Room to Read India Trust

AMIED Introduced Mewat Balika Shiksha Karaykram (Girl Education Programme) in Mirjapur, Sarpur and Thoss (Tijara) adjoining village in vrisangpur village Panchyat in Kishangarh bas block of alwar district. In this programme 200 girls of 6-14 age groups are being mainstreamed in 3 govt. schools. We provide academic as well as community support to this programme in Upper primary school Mirjapur and also in Sarpur and Thoss primary schools. We have provided 8 female teachers, one resource teacher, one mother teacher, 2 subject teachers and 1 programme coordinator under this programme in respective area. Due to community awareness and pressure and pressure built by community Govt. appointed 6 teachers to these schools. Because of this programme we are now able to increase the enrollment and attendance of children from only 15 boys to 582 boys and girls (278 girls) in Mirjapur govt. school. Due to the hard work and dedication of our staff we succeeded having 35st 8th pass girl in Mirjapur and surrounding eight villages covering a population of 8000 and presently we have Sunita (17 years old local girl having one child) enrolled as a regular student in VIIIth class. This programme is run with a long term financial support of Room to Read India Trust. Last Five Years we promote the school grade from Primary to Secondary level. Before our work till 2005 since 1971 not a single girls child go to school in near about 350 households and 3000 population. Programe implemented by AMIED since 2006 to 2015.

2. Khiltee Kaliya Education Initiative(KKEI):
Supported by Action Aid International India

AMIED started activities in 2006 under KKEI in Mewat region of Alwar district for Right to education in Mewat area. Our main focus is ensuring right to education to Meo Muslim Community in Kishangarh bas Block In Alwar Under this project AMIED works as network member of KKEI initiative supported by action aid international India.

Following activities undertaken under this project:
• Strengthening Govt. Schools
• Running Non residential Bridge Course and Kishori Learning Centers
• Community Participation in Elementary Education system and developing Community owned Govt. schools.
• Capacity Building of Children ensure their rights

Under this programme we were working in 75 Villages are directly benefited by this programme. Block level functionary (Pradhan-Panchayat samiti Kishangarh bas) invited AMIED to apply its innovative approaches in community and govt.schools of mewat area of kishangarh bas block of alwar district. This initiative was also supported by District Education Officer (Elementary) Education Dept. and SSA. After a long term presently a community based Group Known as Mewat Shiksha Panchyat a group working for child right especially education in Mewat area of Rajasthan. Nearly 5883 girls mainstreaming in formal education through this programme.

3. Shiksha Aur Aganwadi- Ek Jan Pahal Programme:
Supported by Action Aid International Indi:

With the support of Action Aid International India AMIED started another initiative for universalisation of ICDS facilities with reference to Supreme Court Order. Under this programme we are strengthening 10 Aganwadi centers, Demanding 28 New Aganwadi center. We also work for community mobilization and awareness generation to develop a sense of ownership of ICDS center among people. By building pressure on govt with the help of community we were able to get 5 New ICDS in the area. ICDS facilities have now become an issue of discussion in the community.

4. Improving Quality in Elementary Education Programme :
Supported by Save The Children ( Bal Raksha Bharat) India Trust:

Another initiative was started in May 2008 with the Support of STC India for Improving Quality in Elementary Education in 6 village panchyat covering 25 Meo-Muslim Dominated villages in Mewat area of Tijara Block of Alwar District of Rajasthan state. In this programme we cover up 25 govt. schools, 25 villages and two Registered Madrasas for universalization of elementary education with quality. Under this programme communities were helped to develop village education plan, school development plan and identify Child led Indicators in 25 Villages. We also have our focus on strengthening of two CRCs as resource centres and Cluster resource schools.

Objective of this programme are as under:

• Increase the involvement of children and communities in educational planning and school management.
• Improve the quality of education by involving children in developing common minimum quality standards for schools.
• Ensure government policies and programme relating to elementary education are effectively implemented.

5. Stronger voice to Excluded Children in, Government & NGO policies and Programmes in Rajasthan:
Supported by Save The Children( Bal Raksha Bharat) India Trust:

Save the Children –Bal Raksha Bharat, under the International NGO Partnership agreement programme with the Department for International Development (DFID) UK, has launched a project entitled “Stronger Voice to Excluded Children in Government and NGO Policies and Programmes (IPAP)’ in three backward district of Rajasthan, Viz., Alwar, Chittorgarh and Bhartpur. AMIED is the partner organization in Mewat area of Tijara Block of Alwar district. The Goal of the project is to improve status of socially excluded children (Meo –Muslim) by 2013, in Mewat. the objective of this project is to ensure improved status of excluded children with their voices being heard and recognized institutionally by formal and informal structure. Aim of the project is to benefit socially excluded children (Meo- Muslim) in 40 village of Tijara block of Alwar district in Rajasthan from the development programmes, policies and schemes of the government, donors and NGOs by the end of 2013. The project was launched in June 2009 and completed July 2013 in tijara block of Alwar district of Rajasthan State. 2471 girls benefited under this programme.

6. PAHAL FOR BETTER TOMORROW:
Supported by Sir Dorabji Tata Trust Mumbai:

With the Support of SDTT Mumbai we initiate Pahal for Better Tomorrow programme on May 2009 in 2 village panchyats covering 15 Meo-Muslim Dominated villages in Mewat area of Ramgarh Block of Alwar District of Rajasthan state. In this programme we work for education and development of 11-20 years out of Adolescents in 15 targeted villages.

For Education and Life skills of All children in this programme we running Four Month Residential Bridge Course for Out of School / Never Enrolled Children in Targeted Village . we also develop Youth groups and capacity building of Children as well as Schools and Community awareness regarding Education in Mewat area. Strengthening Govt. Schools through Strengthening SMCs and Attitude / Behavior of Teachers and need community involvement for education of all children. Programme duration were completed on July 2012. Under this programme 2537 adolescent were benefited including 1519 girls and 1018 boys through residential and nonresidential bridge camps and mainstreamed in formal education system.

7. Residential Bridge Course for Child With Special Need (CWSN):

With support of Serva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) Alwar , AMIED were running two residential Bridge Courses in Khanpur mewan (Kishangarhbas block) and Thana rajaji (Rajgarh block) in alwar district in 2007-08. In these Bridge course 72 students and getting our services out of which 37 are mentally retarded (MR) and 35 Hearing disabilities (H.I).

8. Leadership Development Project for Elected Women’s in PRIs.
Supported By The Hunger Project, New Delhi

In Tijara Block for leadership Development in Elected Women’s in Local Self Governance from June 2010 with the support of The Hunger Project New Delhi. In Tijara Blocks 16 Village Panchyat headed By Women’s.

9. Taleem –E-Nishwan ( Women’s Literacy Project in Mewat area of Rajasthan)
Supported by Tata Social welfare Trust, Mumbai

With support of Tata Social Welfare Trust , Mumbai from April 2011 we started Taleem –e-Nishwan Project for women’s Literacy in Mewat for targeted 400 women’s through 20 Learning Centre in Kishangarh Bas, Tijara , Ramgarh Block in Alwar district.Programme were completed in July 2014.

10. Khushhal Bachpan Project ( A grassroot Initiative for Children’s Education and Participation )
Supported by CRY India

With support of Cry India we implement Khushhal Bachpan in 20 Village in Mewat area of Kishangarh bas and Ramgarh Block for better Implementation of RTE 2009 , Education for all children and Participation of Children from April 2011.Programme were completed in 2014 covering 1231 children including 801 Girls.

11. Community Monitoring on RTE 2009 in Alwar district in Rajasthan
Supported by NCPCR, New Delhi, Govt. of India

With financial support of NCPCR INDIA we implement community monitoring on RTE 2009 in 5 Block in Alwar district. These projects are implemented by NCPCR through various organizations in 11 State including Rajasthan. Alwar and Udaipur are two district which cover under this project. In Alwar AMIED implemented in 268 school in 25 Village Panchyat in 5 Block.RTE 2009 awareness, SMC strengthening, Mainstreaming out of school children, Monitoring physical Infrastructure mainly Drinking water facility and Toilets and entitlements. Proper Implementation of Govt. orders, rules regarding RTE 2009.

12. IIMPACT-AMIED Girls Education Project
Supported by – IIMPACT Gurgaon

With supported by IIMPACT Gurgaon we implemented AMIED Girls Education Project in 20 Govt. schools with covering 600 Girls from Mewat area of Alwar district of Rajasthan.Programme were completed in 2014.

13. UDDAN MEWAT GIRLS EDUCATION PROGRAMME
Supported By : CARE INDIA

Uddan Mewat Girls Education Programme is running in Mewat District of Haryana with financial and technical support of Care India and SRF Foundation Gurgaon for 100 Out of school Girls in the age group of 9-14 Year. 11 Months residential camp for special training of girls and after that mainstreaming in school education. Three residential camps were organized by AMIED with support of Care India at Nooh Mewat.271 girls benefits from this Project.

14. Let’s Change the Narrative ( Yeh Kahani Badalni Hai ):
Supported by Action Aid Association

ActionAid Association and Population Foundation of India will be implementing the project with association of AMIED in Karauli district of Rajasthan. The project has adapted a three tier approach working towards change at the individual, community and systems level, thus also responding to UNFPA’s three result areas.

The programme aims to ensure that the community, including the men and boys within it has the capacity to identify the problem of gender inequality and overt and covert forms of gender discrimination. Through such a step, a momentum of questioning the status quo will begin, whereby the programme team will be able to guide the community in questioning the power dynamics and begin a process of re-socialization and challenging of existing gender norms.

Programme will be implemented in 200 villages in karouli and Hindoun block of karouli district. Programme were start from July 2018 at ground level. Direct outreach of the programme will be 200 villages in Karauli including: 400 change agents, 600 village level influencers, 100 sub-district level functionaries, 60 officials from the district administrations and indirect outreach of 100000 community members from karouli district.

Objectives of projects are as under

1. Invest in change agents and thought leaders through social action fellowships that enable young people to work intensively and continuously on identified harmful practices such as son preference and gender and rights issues
2. Build Capacities of the communities to use ICT to address gender discrimination enabling reflection on complex issues
3. Enable communities and change agents to reach out to local and community based institutions such as panchayats and block and district government functionaries to drive change through their own administrative systems to respond to gender concerns.

15. Youth Led Advocacy for Sexual and Reproductive Health (FAYA Project );
Supported by PFI and TYPF

The overall objective of this project is to provide to persons in the 11-17 age groups who are out of school adolescents.The projects will be an opportunity for holistic reproductive and sexual health Education to adolescents in order that they realize their own potential and simultaneously to equip them to contribute to the process of social transformation. The principle ‘clientele’ of this project are the Out of School Adolescent. 10000 other adolescents will also be involved in the project through 2500 out of school adolescents. An overriding priority in all cases will be given to boys and girls. The numbers of persons to be covered in 30 Months will be 2500 adolescents (because when work begins in a block it takes a few months to build a tempo). Focus of the targeted are as under

– 2500 out of adolescents of Girls and Boys between 11-17 Years Age Group
– 10000 other adolescents through 2500 out of school adolescents
– Married and Unmarried
– Community based institutions /individuals which focus under FAYA Project are Peoples, Parents ,Pear group, ASHA /ANMs , AWWs ,NYKS , VHSNC Members and PRIs.

Project Implemented in Sapotra block of Karouli district from April 2019 in 50 villages with the support of Population Foundation of India.

16. Mai Kuch Bhi Kar Sakti Hu :
Supported By Population Foundation of India

Mai Kuch Bhi Kar Sakti Hu Project with supported by Population Foundation of India (PFI) Implemented in Sapotra Block of Karouli Distrcit. Project implemented in 40 villages in sapotra block of karouli district of Rajasthan and complete stated activities within a four-month period starting July 1, 2019. We wish to contribute to higher viewership of the show on DD, and interaction with MKBKSH properties across digital and social media. Through increased conversation and engagement on issues of Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (ASRHR), we wish to positively influence conversation among the youth and increase uptake of services at health clinics. Through our outreach activities, we also hope to increase knowledge on family planning and contraception among married and unmarried youth.

17. Education and WASH Project in Sapotra :
Supported by Plan India and NSE Mumbai

The project on Education and WASH funded by NSE (National Stock Exchange of India Limited) and Plan India aims at integrated school development, improving numeracy and linguistic skills of children and teachers’ capacity building. The project rolled out in April, 2018 and intends to achieve the objectives.

The objectives of the project are:

1. To improve the literacy (linguistic) and numeracy skills of 9889 school children to grade appropriate level in Sapotra Block by 50 percent points above the baseline level through integrated school development and remedial classes for weak students.
2. To improve the stakeholder engagement for achieving quality education in all schools of Sapotra block by capacity building of SMC members, teachers, block and district level education officials
3. To undertake advocacy with district and State level officials for leveraging resources and replicating good practices from the project across all schools in Karauli district.

WASH Project aims at enhancing the level of health and hygiene through an integrated approach of improving WASH facilities in sapotra block of karouli district. Making Sapotra Block of Karauli district as Open Defecation Free Block through School, AWC and Community centred WASH interventions.

Objectives of the Project:

• Improve the WASH facilities in 171 schools and 49 Anganwadi Centres
• Improved hygiene practices among children in 171 schools and 49 Anganwadi Centres
• Generate demand for toilet construction in 5,000 households in Sapotra block
• Extend handholding support to 5,000 households for accessing Government support for construction of Individual Household Toilets

Both project are implemented in whole block of sapotra with active collaboration of Education , ICDS and Health department as well as block administration.
