Metso Model School Project
Supported by : PLAN India and METSO
Metso Wash + Project is implemented by AMIED in MIA area of alwar district nearby District headquarter in 15th School for creating and functioning of Wash Facilities with active supported by SMC in 2013 with support by Plan India and Metso Minerals. Strengthening SMC for grounding RTE in real sense and minimize Dropout rate and Increase girls retention in school. In 2016 Second phase are started with extension of 10 New schools specially Secondary and Senior Secondary schools situated at Panchyat headquarter which is known as Adasrh schools.We started second phase as Model School Project covering 25 schools in Umrain and Ramgarh block of Alwar district of Rajasthan State.Under this project we established Science and Maths Lab, Library cum learning rooms,Computer lab,Providing Sports material, Students Furniture, Solar Panels installation,Smart classes, KYan,and Bala Activities including Strengthening of SMC/SDMC and Children’s forum as well as capacity Building of Teachers on fear free learning, use of library, Life skills and community Involvement.Project. Currently project Known as Model School Project and covering 25 schools and One Girls Hostel in Ramgarh and Umrain Block of Alwar district.
Initiative for Better Tomorrow Project (Better Tomorrow)

Initiative for Better Tomorrow Project (Better Tomorrow ) is implemented by AMIED in 11 Village of Kishangarhbas Block of Alwar district. Main focus of Better Tomorrow is stop child marriage through children’s Education and create positive environment of children’s education. Under this project we focus on community mobilization on children’s education specially Girls education , strengthening Govt. schools, Capacity Building of Girls Group namely Mewat Balika Manch on Life skills and leadership,providing support of subject specific of board examination ( English /Maths /Science ) Youth Sensitization and taking sessions on Sath –Sath with technical support of Avehi Abacus Mumbay. Programme were start from Jan. 2016 and continue. Capacity building of Mewat shiksha Panchyat on Early child Marriage of Child Marriage through meetings, workshops and seminars.Currently 220 Girls associated with Mewat Balika Manch, they regularly meet once in a month and share their problems and achievement.Under this project we covering 25 villages in this year 2019.
Mewat Academy of School Education (MASE)
Mewat Academy of School Education (MASE) is also running by AMIED in Ghansoli Village in Kishangarh bas Block of Alwar District in Rajasthan state in India. MASE is recognized by Education Department of Govt of Rajasthan up to Sr. Secondary level of Hindi and English Medium. Academy having Vth to XIth classes in Hindi Medium and LKG to 8th classes of English Medium. Academy started in June 2016 with 273 children and currently having 504 children including 139 girls in 2018-19 session. Income source of Maximum parents are agriculture, driver. Economic condition of these parents is very weak and not able to support schools.Schools having 21th qualified teachers . Schools welcome deprived sections of Girls and children’s from economically poor conditions. Pedagogy of our school is child centric and activity based. We search some donors for support us as minimum of 3-5 years.
Education and WASH Project in Sapotra
Supported by Plan India and NSE Mumbai
The project on Education and WASH funded by NSE (National Stock Exchange of India Limited) and Plan India aims at integrated school development, improving numeracy and linguistic skills of children and teachers’ capacity building. The project rolled out in April, 2018 and intends to achieve the objectives within a time span of three years.
The objectives of the project are:
1) To improve the literacy (linguistic) and numeracy skills of 9889 school children to grade appropriate level in Sapotra Block by 50 percent points above the baseline level through integrated school development and remedial classes for weak students.
2) To improve the stakeholder engagement for achieving quality education in all schools of Sapotra block by capacity building of SMC members, teachers, block and district level education officials
3) To undertake advocacy with district and State level officials for leveraging resources and replicating good practices from the project across all schools in Karauli district.
WASH Project aims at enhancing the level of health and hygiene through an integrated approach of improving WASH facilities in sapotra block of karouli district. Making Sapotra Block of Karauli district as Open Defecation Free Block through School, AWC and Community centred WASH interventions.
Objectives of the Project: • Improve the WASH facilities in 171 schools and 49 Anganwadi Centres • Improved hygiene practices among children in 171 schools and 49 Anganwadi Centres • Generate demand for toilet construction in 5,000 households in Sapotra block • Extend handholding support to 5,000 households for accessing Government support for construction of Individual Household Toilets
Both project are implemented in whole block of sapotra with active collaboration of Education, ICDS and Health department as well as block administration.
Let’s Change the Narrative (Yeh Kahani Badalni Hai)

ActionAid Association and Population Foundation of India will be implementing the project with association of AMIED in Karauli district of Rajasthan. The project has adapted a three tier approach working towards change at the individual, community and systems level, thus also responding to UNFPA’s three result areas.
The programme aims to ensure that the community, including the men and boys within it has the capacity to identify the problem of gender inequality and overt and covert forms of gender discrimination. Through such a step, a momentum of questioning the status quo will begin, whereby the programme team will be able to guide the community in questioning the power dynamics and begin a process of re-socialization and challenging of existing gender norms.
Programme will be implemented in 200 villages in karouli and Hindoun block of karouli district.Programme were start from July 2018 at ground level.Direct outreach of the programme will be 200 villages in Karauli including: 400 change agents, 600 village level influencers, 100 sub-district level functionaries, 60 officials from the district administrations and indirect outreach of 100000 community members from karouli district.
Objectives of projects are as under:
1) Invest in change agents and thought leaders through social action fellowships that enable young people to work intensively and continuously on identified harmful practices such as son preference and gender and rights issues
2) Build Capacities of the communities to use ICT to address gender discrimination enabling reflection on complex issues
3) Enable communities and change agents to reach out to local and community based institutions such as panchayats and block and district government functionaries to drive change through their own administrative systems to respond to gender concerns.
Youth Led Advocacy for Sexual and Reproductive Health (FAYA Project )

The overall objective of this project is to provide to persons in the 11-17 age groups who are out of school adolescents.The projects will be an opportunity for holistic reproductive and sexual health Education to adolescents in order that they realize their own potential and simultaneously to equip them to contribute to the process of social transformation. The principle ‘clientele’ of this project are the Out of School Adolescent. 10000 other adolescents will also be involved in the project through 2500 out of school adolescents. An overriding priority in all cases will be given to boys and girls. The numbers of persons to be covered in 30 Months will be 2500 adolescents (because when work begins in a block it takes a few months to build a tempo).
Focus of the targeted are as under:
• 2500 out of adolescents of Girls and Boys between 11-17 Years Age Group • 10000 other adolescents through 2500 out of school adolescents • Married and Unmarried • Community based institutions /individuals which focus under FAYA Project are Peoples, Parents, Pear Group, ASHA /ANMs, AWWs, NYKS, VHSNC Members and PRIs.
Project Implemented in Sapotra block of Karouli district from April 2019 in 50 villages with the support of Population Foundation of India.
